THE OFFSPRING will performe at the Rock The City festival

Musical premier in Romania: The Offspring, the legendary California band, will be headliner at Rock The City, the biggest rock festival in Romania, at its 8th edition.

The festival, produced by Marcel Avram, East European Production and D&D East Entertainment, will be held on August 27, 2017 at Arenele Romane and will bring on stage famous names of the musical genre: Bullet For My Valentine, The Darkness, FiRMA and other Romanian bands to be announced.

The Offspring

Formed in 1984 and originally known as Manic Subsidal, The Offspring has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, being considered one of the best-selling bands of all time.

The band released 9 studio albums and has performed in over 1100 shows across the globe.

The album release in 1994, Smash, remains the best-selling album ever since, edited under the tutelage of an independent label.

Among the best-known hits of the band are "Self Esteem," "Come Out And Play (Keep 'Em Separated)," "The Kids Aren't Alright" and "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid."

Their current tour, The Offspring World Tour 2017 began in March in Japan and will end in October this year in Edmonton, Canada. The tour coincides with the 20th anniversary of the release of their 4th album: Ixnay on the Hombre.

Bullet For My Valentine

Founded in 1998 in Wales, Bullet For My Valentine is one of the most successful heavy metal bands, formed by Matthew Tuck, Michael Thomas and Michael Paget.

So far, they have released 5 studio albums, with sales rising to more than 5 million copies worldwide.

The Darkness

One of England's finest rock bands, The Darkness has released 3 studio albums and 2 EPs, well-known for their heavy metal, glam rock and glam metal styles.

Members of the band are Justin Hawkins, Ed Graham, Dan Hawkins and Frankie Pullain.

FiRMA

The pioneer band of alternative rock in Romania, FiRMA was founded in 2001 by two former high school colleagues, who shared the same passion: rock music.

They released 3 studio albums(the last album was a double edition) as well as 5 videos for the songs: La Orbire (who ranked first in the MTV Romania top right after launch), Nobody, Important, Te Paste and Baby Is Crying.

FiRMA is the first Romanian band nominated for the international section of the MTV European Music Awards, for New Sound of Europe (2007), reaching out among the three finalists and surpassing Sunrise Avenue and The Klaxons.

The festival will open its doors starting 16:30 and the first band will play at 5:00 pm.
