Michael Lee Aday was born in 1947 and got his nickname from his father. 1967 began his career, but it took ten years until his debut album "Bat out of Hell" was released, which was a huge success: it is number 7 of the top selling albums of all time and holds the Guinness record for "longest charting record". Since then, Meat Loaf is a star.
