50 Cent Includes Bucharest on His Concert Tour!

50 Cent, the undeniable star of international hip-hop, will headline the Summer in the City event, taking place on August 18 at Romaero, Bucharest.

The artist will perform live some of his most famous hits, such as "In Da Club," "Candy Shop," and "Just a Lil Bit," creating an electrifying atmosphere in a large-scale production, offering an immersive and memorable show!

Since last year, 50 Cent has been on his global "The Final Lap Tour," with over 103 shows in 35 countries. The tour began in North America and continued in Europe and Australia, selling over 1 million tickets and being sold out in most countries.

But who is 50 Cent? Born in Queens, New York, Curtis Jackson began his music career in 1996; in 2000, he recorded his debut album "Power of the Dollar" with Columbia Records.

In 2002, the song "Guess Who’s Back" was discovered by the famous Eminem, who signed 50 Cent to his label, Shady Records. Over time, 50 Cent has collaborated with the biggest names in the industry, including Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, and many others.

His debut album, "Get Rich or Die Tryin’," was released in 2003, with the major musical breakthrough being the single "In da Club," awarded nine platinum discs by the Recording Industry Association of America.

That same year, he launched his own record label, G-Unit Records, signing East Coast rappers. His second album, "The Massacre," released in 2005, achieved tremendous success with the song "Candy Shop." More commercially successful albums followed, such as "Curtis" (2007), "Before I Self Destruct" (2009), and "Animal Ambition" (2014).

Throughout his career, 50 Cent has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, receiving numerous awards, including a Grammy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, 13 Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, and four BET Awards.

He was ranked 17th on Billboard's list of the "Top 50 Rappers", and Rolling Stone magazine included "Get Rich or Die Tryin’" in the list of the 100 best albums of the 2000s.

A singer, actor, and film producer, he has amassed a fortune in 30 years on the stage of life!

Curtis James Jackson fully capitalized on his international stardom to transform from artist to actor, film producer, and entrepreneur. "Get Rich or Die Tryin’" is his life motto, as he earned over $100 million from his partnership with VitaminWater, a brand he endorsed in his songs and public appearances.

The hip-hop artist's personal life is worthy of a film, as he considers himself a true "fighter" of modern times and a "product" of the society he grew up in! He used his fame and fortune for noble purposes: launching the G-Unity Foundation to support programs that promote social and leadership skills among young people; becoming a motivational author with three books: "The 50th Law," "Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter," and "From Pieces to Weight: Once Upon a Time in Southside Queens."

Since 2014, 50 Cent has focused on his film career, founding his own company, G-Unit Films and Television Inc., through which he produced the series "Power" (2014-2020), one of the most-watched series on Netflix!

As an actor, 50 Cent starred in the autobiographical film "Get Rich or Die Tryin’" (2005), "Home of the Brave" (2006), and "Righteous Kill" (2008).

In 2016, 50 Cent received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and an NAACP award for Best Director in a Drama Series.

We will discover more about his personal story at the Summer in the City Event (August 18, Romaero) when he will tell his life story through lyrics, to the beats of hip-hop and rap.

Joining 50 Cent on stage will be important names from the local hip-hop scene, with the first confirmed artist being Puya & Friends, promising a show full of surprises!

Hip-hop returns to the forefront this year under the umbrella of Summer in the City.
