„The Golden Stag”, the first and the greatest international interpretation festival in Romania, comes back with a double anniversary.
In 2018, the year in which Romania celebrates the Centenary of the Grand Union, TVR organizes the 18th edition of the Golden Stag, marking half a century from the first event. The festival will take place in the period August 29th – September 2nd 2018.
On this occasion, TVR brings in a special format of the event with an Anniversary Gala, 2 days of contest, a Festival Gala and a Centenary Gala.
50 years ago, the first sounds of the festival could be heard in Brasov city, in Sfatului Square. This year Piata Sfatului -“Sfatului Square”- is going to host the stage of this contest show – a core of quality performance co-produced and broadcast by Romanian Television, as an organizer and official broadcaster.
In the end of the festival, we will witness a Centenary Gala, a unique event where we will see a blend of the traditional Romanian folk music with up-to-date developments of this genre.
