Control Day Out 2 powered by TuborgSound kick-starts the summer!
This summer, Club Control is taking you out for another open-air blast: Control Day Out 2, powered by TuborgSound! Wild Beasts, Woodkid, The Shoes and O.Children will play, for the first time in Romania, June 1st, at Arenele Romane in Bucharest, in the first big music event of this summer. From indie art-rock to electro-pop, the Arena will host more than 5 hours of live music in a party marathon of new sounds and quality entertainment.
To support Control Day Out 2, the newest online platform by Tuborg, Tuborgsound.ro – home of Romanian music that matters, will be close to the fans, during the concerts. Ever since its launch on the Romanian market, Tuborg has kept the party going, offering memorable musical experiences to the public.
Since their 2006 debut, acclaimed British band Wild Beasts have released three studio albums, getting nominated for a Mercury Prize for their second one, Two Dancers (2009). Their latest record, Smother, released last year by Domino Records, is the one that brought them much-deserved success and international acclaim. Although on an upward trend that took them from their native town of Kendal to London, the four “Beasts” continue to write music for and about outsiders, strongly influenced by their Lake District childhood.
By drawing out the dark side of sex, Wild Beasts have made a masterpiece – NME 9/10
Smother isn't conventional chart material, but will make Wild Beasts' burgeoning cult impossible to ignore – The Guardian

French artist Yoann Lemoine, better known for his stage name Woodkid, is a worthy addition to the lineup of CONTROL DAY OUT 2, his first gig in Romania! Enjoying worldwide fame as of last year, thanks to his hit single Iron – whose video, directed by Lemoine himself, reached 11 million views on YouTube – the French artist is currently working on his debut album, entitled The Golden Age.
Much like their peer Woodkid, French synthpop duo The Shoes caught everybody's attention thanks to their video Time To Dance, starring charismatic actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The band's debut album, Crack My Bones (2011), got some positive underground buzz with their '80s edge propelled by precision-tooled basslines and urgent beats, as one can hear the influence of post-Daft Punk house and French Touch pop in their music.
Since their debut in 2009, London goth-rock/dark-pop act O.Children has set a goal of showing the world that goth's not dead. Their first album is full of Joy Division, Bauhaus and Bad Seeds influences, but their music fits well in nowadays' pop context, driving critics to compare them to early The Horrors. This May, the band will release their sophomore album, Apnea (Deadly People Records).
